Purpose of the project Competencies for life
Is to produce quality, professional and easily accessible methodology for teachers to help develop six key competencies of pupils of grammar and secondary schools, including original video programmes from the Czech school environment, and its handing over to 700 Czech pedagogues who shall apply it and assess it with 21000 pupils of secondary and grammar schools in seven pilot regions.
Key objective of the project Competencies for life is to produce such materials that are
- complete,
so that a teacher does not have to laboriously prepare, complete anything else or search for further information. It means materials that he/she can simply take (print out or copy) and use them in a tuition;
- compatible,
so that a teacher does not have to spend a lot of time thinking about how to link its use with curriculum. Materials that automatically combine competency development with teaching curriculum, which has to be covered;
- verified,
so that a teacher does not have to experiment with his/her pupils having to come to something which was already tested and solved but materials that had been verified by your colleagues and that are now offered to you;
- easily accessible,
so that a teacher does not have to laboriously collect and then copy from who knows what notes, simply materials whose originals will be at his/her disposal in his/her library but also in electronic database, which will be gradually updated..
Project Competences for life represents a solution for all teachers who want to be “in” for their students and who want to give not only quality tuition but also fun and interesting one by actively involving their pupils and most of all teachers who want to enable their pupils to flexibly adjust to fast changing circumstances and life style thus making their future lives more successful.
